Stop using your Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail address for your business! Get your own domain name or website instead!

Imagine with me, if you will!

You own or work for a major company/organization and you want to do business with me!

You decide to send me an email and I end up recieving an email from you (or your company), sent through your Gmail or Hotmail or Yahoo account!

Trust me when I say that I wouldn’t want to do business with you if I got an email from your company, sent from a Hotmail/Yahoo/Gmail address! And I’m certain that I am not the only one who would feel this way!

It’s a terrible mistake to use free email services (Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail) for business purposes and here’s why:

  1. It shows a lack of professionalism and effort on your side!
  2. It works against any image/reputation/goodwill you might be trying to build!
  3. Potential customers could think that you are stingy and cheap.

If you have an in-house IT department or outsourced help, do yourself a huge favor. Ask these folks to get a domain for your organization and put up a simple website and setup emails accounts on your domain.

This process is so easy and will not cost you a lot of money, but the benefits far crush the costs involved!

If you find yourself in this mess, I hope you accept my advice and take corrective actions right away!
