Sri decreases. Jesus increases. There will be less of me and more of Jesus hereon out. That’s all there is to this post but I invite you to read on.
The last time I posted something was over seven months ago. At the time, I had already failed my aim to post once a week (or some ludicrous goal like that). Anyways, mildly disappointing as that was, I thank God that in Christ, my worth isn’t based on performance and achievements.
This post comes hot on the heels of a major change (at least in my eyes it is) I made a few days ago: changing my domain name from srinair.com to thestreetshepherd.com. What’s in a (domain) name you ask? Plenty. Our name is part of our identity and makes us who we are. By changing my domain name, I’m not saying that Sri no longer exists, rather, as John declares in the Scriptures

God has graciously given me a family and allowed me start my own business and for that, I am grateful. As a son, brother, husband and father, the LORD expects me to be responsible and He holds me accountable. As an entrepreneur, He expects me to work hard and treat my clients right. However, without neglecting those relationships and responsibilities, the LORD also expects me to serve Him wholeheartedly and put Him above all else.

As a Christian, a follower of Christ, I must recognise that my purpose is to proclaim Jesus and choose to pursue it in the strength and under the leading of the Holy Spirit. I cannot focus on building my kingdom here on earth and expect to be effective in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20).
Therefore, I have decided that I will focus more on proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus and furthering His Kingdom than focus on my personal life, though in the process of sharing about Jesus, I will inadvertently talk about what He is doing in and through me.
Sri must decrease. Jesus must increase. I can’t do this on my own but I believe God is behind these changes and if I trust Him fully and surrender my will, He will continue to use me to point others to Christ and grant me the wisdom to teach His Word, while glorifying Himself in the process.
